Belmont Shore Rugby will play a scrimmage against Pasadena Rugby Club on December 16th. There will be 3 thirty minute periods.
Having been training for the last 5 weeks the teams is excited to get some game time. “We’ve had some strong numbers at training which is great,” said player Ed Pitts. “It’s created a competitive environment where guys are pushing for starting spots.”
Pasadena come into this game with some momentum having recently fished 3-0 in the Arizona Rugby Festival tournament. They defeated NAU, Red Mountain, and Misfits. “The Arizona tournament really helped see our pattern in live play and any kind of trip like that really brings a team together,” said Pasadena scrumhalf Russell Pitts. “Preseason has been going well. We have a lot of new faces on our squad and this weekend we are excited to see what they can do on the pitch.”
