The Denver Barbarians are visiting southern California for a 2-game tour. They will play Belmont Shore Thursday Feb. 1st in Long Beach, and then will head down to San Diego to play OMBAC on Feb. 3.

For Belmont this will be their last preseason game before the PRP gets underway on Feb 10th. “It's great to get a preseason game against a quality program like the Denver Barbarians,” said player Ed Pitts. “This will be our last game to test out different player combinations before the PRP starts. It’s an opportunity for the players to show they deserve a starting spot. We are looking forward to the challenge.”

The Barbos play D2 in the West and went 5-0 in the fall season. “The goal of the trip is to challenge ourselves against higher level opposition which will hopefully force us to elevate our level of play,” said coach Brian Erichsen. “It will also enable us to benchmark where we are at as a team and learn where we need to grow. Off the field, spending quality time together as a squad will hopefully continue to improve team cohesion and culture.”

Game is February 1st. Kickoff time is 7:30 pm at Millikan High School in Long Beach
